来到梧州游玩，我建议你，除了去游览梧州的特色景点：如地处梧州市区最高而且风景美丽的白云山、闻名的龙母太庙、及庄严肃穆的中山纪念堂和宝石城等地外，还一定要去游玩一下具有岭南特色的百年古迹——骑楼城。
在骑楼的外观上，我们可以看到有代表性的中国建筑：如花窗、砖雕、牌坊等都十分古朴。它透露着一种中国骑楼城的文化气息，尤其是骑楼柱外的铁环更具有一种神秘的色彩。听老人们说：“梧州地处西江、桂江两河交汇处，年年都被洪水淹，是人们用来栓船用的。”现在，我们已建造了河东防洪大堤，铁环虽已失去了它应有的作用，但它可作为永久的历史见证。而且骑楼城的西方文化痕迹也较浓，如罗马柱、圆拱形窗、穹雕等都是典型的西方建筑色彩。
骑楼城与步行街紧密连接在一起，走进这个五彩缤纷的世界，真让人眼花缭乱、流连往返。每当华灯初上，整个骑楼城各色灯光不停的闪烁，简直就像一座富丽堂皇的迷宫。

在我的家乡——梧州，有一条美丽的绸缎。她静静地流淌着，灌溉着两岸的土地，她就是举世无双的鸳鸯江。
春天，江水缓缓地流，像一位温柔的母亲，轻轻地拍打着堤岸边的小草。小草微微地对她点头，仿佛在感谢她长年累月的滋养。一颗颗稚气的花苞忽然从细细枝丫上冒出来，有的已经迫不及待地绽放开来，释放出淡淡的清香，随着春天轻轻地摇曳。
夏日，草儿长得更粗壮了，花儿开得更鲜艳了，蜜蜂忙着采蜜，蝴蝶流连忘返。夜幕降临时，岸边的渔火，江心的灯标，接连地亮起，连同它们在水面映出的红色光晕，使鸳鸯江像是眨着眼睛，沉沉欲睡。
初秋，岸边的树木变成了铁青色，累累的果实，正在由青黄，渐渐地从叶子中显露出来，争相炫耀着自己的光彩。江水平静地看着这一切。偶尔有驳船飞快地驶过，响着汽笛，在江心划出一条长长的路，于是，水面上的倒影，高楼大厦、亭台楼阁、蓝天白云、花草树木，以及飞过的一行行大雁，都随着浪花轻轻地摇曳。
