Due Attention Should Be Given to the Study of Chinese
With China’s opening up, intercultural communication has become more frequent than ever between Chinese and foreigners. A good command of at least one foreign language has increasingly been an essential skill so that the youths pay much more attention to foreign language acquisition than Chinese study.
Various factors can account for this situation. First of all, a good command of a foreign language may help young people to get a good job while Chinese skills may be of no significance in one’s job hunting and even their career. Consequently, some students may not treasure Chinese language any longer. Apart from that, nowadays fewer and fewer universities stimulate Chinese language study in campus, which has caused it to be marginalized. Under this circumstance, Chinese language becomes less and less popular in universities.
In view of this situation, effective measures should be taken to change it. And we should pay great attention to Chinese language learning, since the importance of it is never too great to be exaggerated.

Air Pollution
As is vividly shown in the drawing above, the air is polluted seriously by the pollutant PM2.5 and other exhaust gases, which will do harm to the environment and human health. Why are there so many pollutants in the air? Causes of this issue appears to be complicated and mixed.
Firstly, vehicle exhaust gases could be one of the most leading causes. With the improvement of economy and people's living standard, more and more urban inhabitants own their private cars. More automobiles will inevitably generate more exhaust gases. Additionally, many factories around the cities emit large quantities of untreated and poisonous gases, which should also be responsible for the decline of air quality. Last but not least, household appliances widely used in cities also release a great amount of carbon dioxide gases, which further intensifies air pollution.
Hence, it is about time that we should begin to take some measures to reverse the decline in the air quality by controlling the pollutant emission.

Changes over the Number of Rural and Urban population
The bar chart given above reflects the number of rural and urban population experienced some changes over the past decades. From 1990 to 2010, the number of urban population increased rapidly from 300 million to nearly 650 million. During the same period, the number of rural population decreased gradually from nearly 840 million to roughly 670 million.
We learn from the bar chart that people in mounting numbers leave rural areas and enter the cities. What exactly contribute to this phenomenon? Possible reasons can be listed as follows: for one thing, the government has issued some policies to promote the process of urbanization. Moreover, compared with rural areas, cities enable them to acquire more opportunities and make more money. Lastly, urban areas are superior to rural areas in living quality. People could enjoy more convenience, better infrastructures and better educational quality in cities.
By observing the trend in the past, we may forecast that more and more people will move to cities. However, the government should also focus more eyesight on the problems caused by population expansion in cities.

我的家乡
古城区福慧学校二（7）班 李添赟
我的老家在石头乡老君山脚下，那是个美丽的小山村。
从丽江城坐车到石头需要两个多小时的车程，每年我都要回一趟老家。路上要经过有名的风景区“石鼓长江第一湾”，远远看去，长江第一湾的两岸都是翠绿的柳林。沿着冲江河往上走，公路弯弯曲曲的，不一会儿就到了老家——桃花村。进村时要经过一座石拱桥，爸爸说：“这座桥的历史已经有四百多年了。”站在桥上往村子看去，整个村子依山傍水，弧形的村落就像一弯月牙儿，村子里到处都开着粉红色的桃花，看来桃花村就是因此而得名。
我的家乡真是美丽极了！我爱我的家乡！

篇三：美丽的龙泉山
美丽的龙泉山
我的家乡在河南省栾川县，这里风景优美，有许多著名的旅游景点，如鸡冠洞、老君山等……而我最熟悉的就是龙泉山了，它就像一条巨龙守护着人们。
从前面出发经过第一轮台阶就看到立于公园一九九三年的汉室精忠武聖祠。在它的东北方向有四个宫殿---天师殿、奶奶殿、三皇殿和玉皇殿。继续向前走到了半山腰你如果回头望就会看到远处的县城有许许多多、大大小小的房子，真是十分壮观啊！在整个路途中，小路的两旁栽满了郁郁葱葱的树木，真令人陶醉。
在山的出口有五颜六色的九条巨龙组合成的一面墙面，它就是九龙壁。画面上的八条巨龙好像在腾云驾雾一样，还有另一条巨龙把头伸进水中，似乎在思考问题。龙是中华民族的象征，我们中国人自称是龙的传人。九龙壁下面就是十二生肖了。十二生肖是由十二只可爱的小动物组成的，它们分别是子鼠、丑牛、寅虎、卯兔、辰龙、巳蛇、午马、未羊、申猴、酉鸡、戌狗、亥猪。由此我联想到了关于动物的成语鼠目寸光、龙飞凤舞、打草惊蛇、呆若木鸡、狗急跳墙等。十二生肖真有趣啊！
龙泉山的一年四季都很美丽。春天春姑娘给她穿上了绿衣裳；夏天密密麻麻的树叶为我们撑起了巨大的“免费遮阳
伞”；秋天飘飘洒洒的树叶像一只只金色的蝴蝶；冬天大雪过后的龙泉山又为我们呈现了一个雪白的世界。我爱家乡的龙泉山！
